At 04:30 am, Volunteer Fire Company #1 of Chesapeake City, Inc. was dispatched for a MVA in the 200 block of Bank Street in the area of the C&D Canal Trail. Chief 2 arrived with 2 vehicles and heavy rescue. Crews worked to extricate one subject who was pronounced Priority 4. Units operated for over 4 hours, returning to station @ 09:00. E2, 292, Cecil County Department of Emergency Services PM 103, EMS 1, R12, Brush 12 and Singerly Fire Company R13 all responded.

Western District Shooting Investigation
On November 8, 2024, at around 7:36 p.m., officers were patrolling in the area of the 1000 block of Poplar Grove Street when they heard discharging.
Upon canvassing the immediate area, officers located a 16-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound in the 1000 block of Poplar Grove Street. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital to receive treatment for his injury.
Western District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Investigation underway in Catonsville
On November 2, 2024, just before 1:15 a.m., officers from the Wilkens Precinct responded to the 6400 block of Frederick Rd., 21228, for a reported shooting. When officers arrived on the scene, they located the victim, a 44-year-old male who suffered a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.
As detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this shooting, they ask anyone with information pertinent to the case to contact 410-307-2020.
