Welcome to the 3rd Annual Bohemia River Boaters Lighted Boat Parade. Good places to watch it will be from Pell Gardens, Bayard House ,Schaefer’s Canal House, and the Chesapeake Inn. Boats will be running down the C&D Canal headed into the basin at approximately 5:30pm. Come join the fun, and please bring a few can goods to donate towards the local churches food cupboard.​ Visit their website for more information

The Crisfield Christmas Boat Parade is coming back with even more sparkle and spirit than ever. Featured in Coastal Style magazine, this event has grown each year.
What to Expect:
Meet Santa and enjoy the lights as festive boats cruise by, bringing holiday magic to our shores.
Parade Route: Starting at 6 PM from Somers Cove Marina, boats will make their way past Crisfield City Dock, Wellington Beach, the Crisfield American Legion, and end at Tawes Nursing Home before returning to the marina.
Want to Join the Fun on the Water?
Slips are available at Somers Cove Marina please call them directly! LED lights are the best option for decorating your boat, and inverters can be picked up at a low cost. Let’s make this parade one to remember!

National Book Festival
The 2024 National Book Festival will be held Sat. Aug. 14 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in the national's capital.

The event brings together bestselling authors and thousands of book fans for author talks, panel discussions and book signings. The annual event is sponsored by the Library of Congress.
